Pennsylvania cops have identified two suspects involved an epic panty raid.
Aida Melcado, 18, and a minor identified as ‘BC’ poached 2,000 pairs of underwear from a Victoria’s Secret store in a Harrisburg mall on April 7, said Lower Allen Township police.
Melcado and BC were identified and arrested during an unrelated drug investigation in Virginia’s Fairfax County on April 18, authorities said.
The duo reportedly still had the $21,000 worth of pilfered panties with them when they were busted in Virginia.
Cops said the thong nappers went to the store with “booster bags,” which have special linings to prevent electronic security tags from triggering alarms as they exited. Mecaldo is accused of swiping undies from a display table and digging through drawers for more drawers while employees helped customers.
The minor acted as a lookout, cops said.
The haul was broken down as: 375 hipster panties worth $3,937.50; 375 cut thongs worth $3,937.50; 1,000 thongs worth $10,500, and 250 raw-cut hip-hugging panties worth $2,625.00.
An arrest warrant was issued for Melcado, who faces a felony charge of retail theft and conspiracy and a misdemeanor charge of possession of an instrument of crime. BC faces juvenile charges.
